In reply to your letter of 5th February,
1927, relating to two certificates, Lab. No. J 1913 of
26th November, 1926, and Lab. No. J 1932 of 3rd December,
1926, as to tin assayed by the Government Analyst of this
Colony, I have to point out that conditions (6) and (7)
under which samples are analysed in the Government
Laboratory of this Colony for the general public are:-
(6) All samples analysed will remain the property
of the Government.
(7) The Government will not recognise any claims
arising from the results of analysis.
Although this Government does not recognise
any claim in the matters referred to in your letter I have
to inform you that when information was received that the
tin in question was alleged to be below the standard the
reserve portions at the Laboratory here were again assayed,
and the London sample was assayed, great care being
exercised, with the following results:-
